USING NATURAL TREATMENT FOR FINGERNAIL FUNGUS

Fingernail fungus is a growing problem in our society today, it can be caused from just being generally run down, or from wearing fake nails. There are natural home remedies for treating fungus, and they are a much healthier alternative then the medication offered on prescription. Although, in very severe cases a natural fingernail fungus treatment will not work.

Trying a cure for fingernail fungus takes time and a lot of patience, it can take anywhere from a few months to a year, this depends on the severity of your nail condition. You also need to allow time for the new nail to grow.

Usually within a couple of months you should see an improvement.

Keep your fingernails cut short at all times, and never put nail polish on to cover the fungus up. This is a disaster, and you are providing a breeding ground for the fungus to keep growing.

Allow your nails to breathe, keep your fingernails clean and dry. On sunny days, hold them up to the sun, the sun is a perfect natural fingernail fungus treatment.

White vinegar is a popular method for treating fungus, soak your infected fingernails in white vinegar for about 20-30 min daily. Some people will dilute the vinegar with equal parts of water. If you don't have any white vinegar, you can use apple cider vinegar. Soak your fingernails for about 20-30 min every day. Vinegar is acidic making it very difficult for the fungus to survive. Soaking in vinegar is one of the most successful fingernail fungus cures.

Scientific research has shown that tea tree oil is a very effective remedy for getting rid of fungus. Just put a couple of drops 3 times a day onto your fingernail and rub in.

Many people have found success with Vicks Vaporub, just rub it into your nail a few times a day. Vicks is also very good for helping to fight bacteria around the fingernails.

Garlic is a powerful herb to use in the battle against fungus. Chop up or mash a couple of garlic cloves and rub into your infected fingernails.

There are suggestions that bleach is good for fighting fungus, although I think you are probably best to stick to a more natural alternative. Some people have had great success with natural nail fungus cures, and some have not. If your nail fungus is very severe, such as the fingernail is lifting off, then you would be best to see a doctor.

Having fingernail fungus can be an embarrassing problem and one you do not need to have.
